Thomas and Rebekah were supposed to be enjoying the happiest years of their lives together as newlyweds. Instead, they had to deal with a vengeful farmer and his crazy designs. The stress of it all would inevitably put a strain on the couple’s relationship, sadly. But through it all, they were determined to resolve the dramatic situation and get the fence off their land. Infuriatingly, the couple was barred from destroying the fence by the authorities thanks to legal constraints. They were prisoners in their homes so long as the authorities refused to play ball. In time, Rebekah would be overwhelmed by it all.

The wife hated the fact that she was stuck within her own property. This was supposed to be the place where she felt safe and comfortable. Rebekah sadly had to leave Thomas behind and live with her parents until her husband found a way to resolve the situation. She rationalized her move by saying that she was almost brought to tears when she saw what had happened to her home. She had been driven out by the farmer’s bullying and had to protect her sanity.
