The anxious couple called the relevant realtor the next day to try and get some answers. They were met with a rude receptionist who did not take their urgent query seriously and quickly hung up the phone. Everyone else that they spoke to about this spooky fence was equally unhelpful. The couple weren’t done yet, though, and were not about to take ‘no’ for an answer. This determination would lead them down a dark road, and they would indeed find their answers there. They would also learn that the realtor had shockingly been dishonest with them. The questing couple was furious, of course.

There was a dark but important secret that Thomas and Rebekah had been spared by the realtor. As it turned out, the neighboring farmer had started a land dispute case with Thomas and Rebekah’s property. The farmer was called David Preece, and he had clearly decided to ‘resolve’ the situation his own way. Preece erected the fence himself while the newlyweds were out of the country.
