The couple began walking around the uninvited fence, completely perplexed. To add to their confusion, the fence had no entrance! Thomas and Rebekah were forced to break into their own property. Thomas finally assumed that this was all just one big mistake on some contractor’s side. This was the only sense that he could make of the whole thing, as any other ideas that came to him just sounded ridiculous. Was this some kind of over-the-top prank?

After Thomas and Rebekah finished the humiliating acrobatics of climbing over the uninvited barricade, they immediately realized that the sensational views that they had so looked forward to seeing again were completely cut off. All that they could now see from the first floor were poorly nailed together wooden planks. Thomas later commented on the fiasco, saying, “This was our dream home, and now it’s turned into a nightmare – it feels like we’re imprisoned in our own house.” But Thomas was not about to let this whole thing slide. He would find out who did this to him and his wife, and soon.
