Sylvia was horrified when she arrived at Thomas’s property and saw the fence. How could this farmer have caused so much unnecessary and unwarranted misery for complete strangers? She immediately suggested to Thomas that he get in touch with Persimmon Homes to elevate his case. Sadly, the business was uninterested in helping Thomas, given that they were not, in fact, owners of the land that their home had been constructed on. Thankfully, Thomas had the tenacious Sylvia on his side.

Sylvia leveraged her council position to pressure the authorities into properly handling this position and actually help Thomas. Sylvia wished to give the couple the home that they were entitled to, no matter how long it may take. The councilperson managed to persuade the authorities to do something about the turf war after multiple meetings and phone calls. She was the mastermind behind the investigation that was about to take place regarding Thomas and Rebekah’s fence.
