The Uphill Battle

This project was no walk in the park, clearly. The couple had been dealing with all manner of challenges from the moment that they got things started, all the way back in November 2018.

Every time that the couple felt like they had achieved something, a brand-new set of problems would present itself. It was like the hydra of houses – every time Cal and Claire fixed something, another three issues would spring up like dark magic.

They were quite a proactive pair, as it turned out, as when their utility van continually became trapped within the mud, they realized that it was time to construct a driveway. It was time to make an easy entrance and exit from their home.

Seeing as they did not have a running water supply, the couple would need to source their own – something that would prove to be quite the mission. Then there was getting power into the property, a mission which lasted almost half a year!
